10 Year Colour Guarantee

Our wallpaper is guaranteed against colour fading for 10 years when displayed indoors. In the unlikely event of noticeable fading, we will replace your wallpaper free of charge with the same design, material and originally ordered dimensions.

We recommend ordering a sample where colour, pattern scale or compatibility with the intended surface is important.

Repeating Patterns

Repeating designs are configured to continue seamlessly across the full wall area entered when ordering. The pattern is scaled and positioned to maintain continuity between drops.

Full Wall Murals

Murals are printed using the crop selected and confirmed by the customer. The chosen crop determines the portion of the artwork reproduced across the entered wall dimensions.

Custom Order Details

The wall dimensions entered at checkout form part of the custom order. For mural designs, the confirmed crop is also an essential order detail. Please review this information carefully before confirming your purchase, as production is based on these selections.

Measure your walls carefully. Take each dimension in more than one location, as walls, ceilings and floors may not be perfectly square. Always use the largest measurement.

1. Standard Walls

1. Measure the full width of the wall in several places.
2. Measure the full height in several places.
3. Use the widest and highest measurements.

2. Doors, Windows and Fixed Features

Measure the complete wall as though the obstruction were not present.

Do not deduct the area of doors, windows, cabinetry or other fixed features. These areas are trimmed out during installation.

3. Sloped or Angled Walls

Measure the greatest overall width and the highest overall point. Order the complete rectangular area that contains the wall shape.

The angled sections are trimmed away during installation.

4. Multiple Adjoining Walls

Where a design is intended to continue around internal corners:

1. Measure the width of each connecting wall.
2. Add the wall widths together.
3. Measure the height of each wall and use the greatest height.

Ordering adjoining walls as one continuous width provides the best opportunity for the pattern or mural to flow naturally around the corners.

Corners and walls are not always perfectly square. For this reason, exact pattern matching directly on a corner cannot be guaranteed.

Worked example

• Wall 1: 320cm wide
• Wall 2: 280cm wide
• Combined measured width: 600cm
• Highest measured wall height: 240cm

5. Staircases and Irregular Walls

Measure the widest and highest overall points, treating the space as a complete rectangle.

6. Installation Tolerance

During production NALA COLLECTIVE will add 10cm to both the width and height as an installation allowance. This allows for minor wall variation, out of square corners and trimming during installation. Any excess material can be trimmed once installed.

7. Final Check

Double check every measurement and confirm that the correct measurement has been entered. NALA COLLECTIVE wallpaper is custom printed to the dimensions entered and cannot be resized after production.

If you are uncertain, we recommend arranging professional measuring or installation before placing your order.

Always follow the installation guide supplied with your NALA COLLECTIVE wallpaper. For large murals, complex or irregular walls, staircases, and installations spanning corners, professional installation may be required.

Before You Begin

Check every drop before installation:

• Confirm the design, dimensions, sequence and condition.
• Lay all drops out in numbered order.
• Check that the drops form the expected design when arranged in sequence.
• Do not begin installing if anything appears incorrect.
• Photograph and report any issue to NALA COLLECTIVE before installation.

All drops are supplied in sequence and must be installed in the correct order. Each 49cm wide drop includes a 1cm overlap.

The wall must be smooth, clean, dry and properly prepared. Remove loose paint, old wallpaper, dust, grease and other surface contamination. Fill and sand holes, cracks and imperfections to create an even surface.

Newly painted or repaired walls must be fully cured in accordance with the paint or coating manufacturer’s instructions before wallpaper is applied.

Do not assume that the ceiling, floor or corner is perfectly straight. Establish a true vertical starting line with a spirit level or laser level before positioning the first drop.

Flex Wallpaper

Flex is a self-adhesive, peel and stick wallpaper. Its suitability depends on the wall being smooth, clean, fully cured and compatible with self-adhesive wallpaper.

1. Establish the starting line. Mark a true vertical line for the first drop using a spirit level or laser level.
2. Position the first drop. Align the top of the drop and a vertical edge with the marked line. Peel back only a small section of the backing initially; do not remove all the backing at once.
3. Apply progressively. Remove the backing gradually while smoothing the wallpaper from the centre outwards. Work steadily to release air and maintain alignment.
4. Avoid tension. Do not stretch, pull or place the material under tension, as this may affect its position and the alignment of the design.
5. Continue in sequence. Install each numbered drop in order, maintaining the specified 1cm overlap and aligning the design carefully.
6. Reposition when necessary. Lift and reposition carefully if an adjustment is required. Avoid repeatedly lifting and reapplying the adhesive, as this may reduce adhesion or affect the material.
7. Trim neatly. Using a sharp blade and straight edge, trim excess material at the ceiling, skirting, corners and openings. Replace blades regularly to maintain a clean cut.

Signature Wallpaper

Signature is installed using the paste the wall method.

1. Establish the starting line. Mark a true vertical line for the first drop using a spirit level or laser level.
2. Prepare the adhesive. Use a suitable, good quality paste the wall adhesive. Mix and use it in accordance with the adhesive manufacturer’s instructions.
3. Paste the wall. Apply the paste evenly to an area slightly wider than one drop, ensuring consistent coverage.
4. Hang the first drop. Apply the wallpaper dry to the pasted wall and align it with the marked vertical line.
5. Smooth the surface. Work from the centre towards the edges using a wallpaper smoother, taking care not to damage the printed surface.
6. Continue in sequence. Install the remaining numbered drops in order, maintaining alignment and the specified overlap throughout.
7. Trim neatly. Using a sharp blade and straight edge, trim excess material at the ceiling, skirting, corners and openings. Replace blades regularly to maintain a clean cut.

Each NALA COLLECTIVE wallpaper design is available in two installation formats: Flex peel and stick wallpaper and Signature paste the wall wallpaper. Both are premium choices; the right option depends on your wall surface, project scale and preferred installation method.

Compare Materials

Flex is not recommended for textured, dusty, porous, damaged or otherwise unsuitable painted surfaces. Surface condition, paint type and preparation can affect adhesion and removal. Neither material can be assumed to leave every wall undamaged when removed.

Which Should I Choose?

Choose Flex if you prefer the convenience of a self-adhesive, paste free installation on suitable smooth painted walls.

Choose Signature if you prefer a traditional paste the wall installation with a familiar wallpaper application method.

Check Your Surface

Flex wallpaper performs best on smooth, clean, well prepared painted walls. Some modern stain resistant and wash & wear paint finishes, including coatings containing non-stick additives such as Teflon®, are designed to repel contaminants and may reduce adhesion. If you’re unsure whether your wall is suitable, we recommend ordering a sample first to test compatibility before placing your order.

The performance of both materials depends on correct wall preparation and surface compatibility. Fresh paint must be allowed to cure fully in accordance with the paint manufacturer’s instructions.

Where compatibility is uncertain, order a sample and test it on the intended wall before placing your full order. Textured walls are not suitable unless the surface has been specifically assessed and approved.

Every NALA COLLECTIVE wallpaper order is produced specifically for your selected design, material and dimensions, including the confirmed crop for mural designs where applicable.

Production Time

Allow 3–5 business days for production & dispatch.

Production begins once your order details have been accepted and is separate from delivery time. Complex orders or periods of high demand may require additional production time. We will contact you if this is expected to materially affect your order.

Standard shipping within Australia is free.

Estimated delivery times are 3–6 business days. Remote and regional destinations may take longer.

Delivery Inspection

Please inspect the package and every wallpaper drop as soon as your order arrives and before installation begins.

If the wallpaper appears damaged, faulty or incorrect, do not install it. Photograph and retain:

• The external packaging
• The shipping label
• The complete wallpaper
• The affected area in clear detail

These items assist NALA COLLECTIVE in assessing the concern.

Custom Orders and Change of Mind

As each wallpaper is custom printed to your specifications, we cannot accept returns or exchanges for change of mind. Cancellations are also unavailable once production has begun.

This policy does not limit any rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law.

Damage, Faults or Incorrect Orders

Damage, faults or order issues must be reported to NALA COLLECTIVE within 48 hours of delivery, together with the requested photographs and relevant order details.

Please inspect the wallpaper fully before installation. Installing the wallpaper may limit our ability to assess or resolve a visible printing, manufacturing, transit or order issue that should reasonably have been identified beforehand.

The 48-hour reporting request does not exclude or limit rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

Colour and Screen Representation

Colours may vary between screens, samples and finished prints due to screen settings, lighting, print production and material selection. A variation of this kind is not automatically considered a fault.

Where precise colour selection is important, we recommend ordering a sample before placing the full wallpaper order.

Care

Routine cleaning
Remove light dust with a clean, dry, soft cloth. Where suitable, use a lightly dampened soft cloth without saturating the wallpaper. Do not scrub the printed surface.

Sunlight and interior conditions
NALA COLLECTIVE wallpaper is printed using UV resistant inks for lasting colour. As with most printed interior finishes, prolonged, intense direct sunlight may affect its appearance over time.

Avoid installation where the wall is exposed to ongoing moisture, active leaks, condensation or excessive heat unless the environment has been assessed as suitable.

Repairs
Retain clean offcuts after installation for possible minor repairs.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between Flex and Signature Wallpaper?
Flex is a self-adhesive, paste free wallpaper. Signature is installed using a compatible paste the wall adhesive.

Can I install the wallpaper myself?
Yes. Both materials are suitable for DIY installation on properly prepared walls. Larger walls, murals and more complex installations may be easier with two people or a professional installer.

What wall surfaces are suitable?
Wallpaper should only be installed onto clean, dry, smooth and properly prepared walls. If using Flex, some stain resistant, wash & wear and non-stick paint finishes may reduce adhesion. If you’re unsure, we recommend ordering a sample first.

Can I use wallpaper in a bathroom?
Yes, on dry, well ventilated walls. Do not install in direct splash zones or areas subject to continuous moisture or condensation.

Should I order a sample first?
We recommend ordering a sample if you’d like to assess colour, scale, material finish or wall surface compatibility before placing your order.

How do I measure my wall?
Measure the wall width and height in several places. Enter the largest width and largest height into the wallpaper configurator.

Should I add an installation allowance?
No. Enter your exact wall dimensions and we will automatically add a 10 cm installation allowance during production.

Are wallpaper drops numbered?
Yes. Every drop is supplied in sequence and should be installed in the numbered order provided.

Can I return wallpaper?
Because every order is custom printed, change of mind returns are not accepted. Your rights under Australian Consumer Law are unaffected.

What if my order arrives damaged or incorrect?
Do not install the wallpaper. Contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the wallpaper, packaging and shipping label.
